Thrilling Battles on the Water – Match Race Results and Final Stages Ahead

The CoreComm Solar Boat Challenge in Balatonalmádi has reached a decisive moment! ⚡️⛵️

Today’s Match Race brought plenty of excitement, with the Dutch HAN Solarboat claiming victory in the head-to-head battles on the water. Their outstanding performance once again demonstrated why they are among the strongest contenders of the entire competition.

With the Match Race concluded, the overall ranking has shifted, and the fight for the top positions could not be tighter. The Sunflare Solarteam currently leads with just 9 penalty points, followed closely by HAN Solarboat, also on 9 points but ranked second based on the scoring system. The WhisperPower Solar Team holds the third place with 18 points, while Spectrum Solarteam and AGH Solar Boat follow in a tie, both at 29 points.

As the event heads into its final stages, there are two key updates:

  • The Time Trial, originally scheduled for Friday but postponed due to weather conditions, is now underway. 🌤

  • The Ton’s Race will not be held this year, meaning the Time Trial will decide the final standings of the weekend. 🏆

With everything still open, the atmosphere at Lake Balaton is electric. Every second on the water counts, and the teams are giving their all to secure the top positions. Stay tuned for the final results soon – the champions of the 2025 CoreComm Solar Boat Challenge are about to be crowned!
