Today’s race day at the Balaton Solar Boat Challenge was nothing short of thrilling. The Sunflare Solarteam delivered an incredible performance in the range race, covering a remarkable distance of 92 kilometers to secure first place.
The excitement continued in the afternoon with the top speed trials, where the boats were pushed to their limits. Pilots had two attempts to achieve their maximum speed, which was measured by our race officials from the pier. Once again, the Sunflare Solarteam stole the show, reaching a top speed of 47 km/h. They were followed by HAN Solarboat, clocking in at 42.5 km/h, and Solar Team Sneek, with a speed of 36.1 km/h.
