The Solar Boat Challenge series is designed to promote the use of renewable energy sources and environmentally conscious transport using innovative technologies. The boats of these competitions are created based on this approach which has an impact on the construction of the boats and on the evaluation criteria of the events.
The competition is more than the race of technologies. But why?
We can say about the races that the speed race requires explosive, fast, high torque and powerful drive mode, while in the fleet race the energy savings are crucial. Mass, energy, power, forces, reliability; all of them are important factors in development, which can be chosen with carefully thought, multivariate optimization. Due to this, our project becomes an R&D task.
Although modern high-tech hardware modules serve as the power of the boat, the power management and propulsion system directed by the pilot is needed to turn it into a successful watercraft.
