Registration for the CoreComm Balaton Solar Boat Challenge

Pre-registration are open online from November 15th 2022 until January 10th 2023. Pre-registration is free (but the collected data is helping the organisers). Complete online the pre-registration form at

Registration will be open from February 15th – May 15th 2023 (prolonged from April 30th)

The Registration fee must be paid electronically. The Registration fee includes accommodation with breakfast for 6 persons/team and a lunchbox/day, free parking for trailers and cars/team. It also includes a small portion of Hungarian Hungaricum, pálinka for every day.

We invite you to register your team for the CoreComm Balaton Solar Boat Challenge from August 22nd until 27th. The early bird registration will be 800 EUR (from 15th February until 25th March). The registration fee will be 870 EUR (from 26th February until 30th April).

Please remember that if your boat is above 14.7 KW and 8 meters, an additional fee of €80 will be added to the registration fee.

Process of the registration:

  1. Complete and submit the registration form.
  2. Pay the registration fee and send a confirmation email of the transaction.
  3. The University of Pannonia will issue an invoice and send you a scanned version by email and post.

Registration deadline: 15th of May (prolonged from 30th of April)

Filling in the registration form and submit it constitutes an order and serves as a request for an advance payment, which does not entitle to VAT refund. The registration fee should be transferred to the University of Pannonia bank account before the service is provided.

Participation is subject to the presentation of proof of payment of the registration fee. After the financial settlement, the Service Provider will issue and send one bill as a down payment invoice and final invoice in pdf form in e-mail and also to the postal address of the person who has paid the costs.

Please add the following code: M313100099 and your team name in the note/comment box when you transfer the amount. For your information, this code refers to the cost centre of the university.

Refund policy:

  • Cancellation until 22nd of July – full refund of the registration fee
  • Cancellation between 23rd of July and 8th of August – 50% refund of the registration fee
  • Cancellation after 9th of August – the registration fee is not-refundable
